clear events & reset events

Hi,

Can someone tell me what "clear events" and "reset events" should do?

Based on

   http://grads.iges.org/grads/gadoc/gradcomdclear.html
and
   http://grads.iges.org/grads/gadoc/gradcomdreset.html

I hoped one or the other would clear stray mouse clicks, without
clearing anything else.

"reset events" clears the entire screen.  "clear events" keeps the
current display, but seems to reset the environment (so I don't get info
from my next mouse click).

I'm testing on version 1.9b3 built on IBM AIX.
