problem trying to plot TRMM data

Nelsie,

Check your DSET line in your descriptor file, 3B42RT.ctl.  You seem to have:
    DSET 3B42RT.%y4.%m2.%d2.%h2z.bin
Try:
    DSET 3B42RT.%y4%m2%d2%h2.bin
