extrapolation to fill in missing values

Hello,
Any help welcome. I want to plot data which is in two
different files (ECMWF output).File 1 has 0-90N,
90W-0E File 2 has 0-90N, 0-90E. For Africa I need at
least 30W-50E.
When I CAT the two files, I can only display one part
of the domain (i.e data from only one file).
Is there a way of combining data from two different
files over contagious domains?
